Double U is a family business set up around providing goods in order to have a sustainable long-term ministry in Alaska.

What does Double U do?

Double U is the business arm of the Westdorp family and their “tentmaking” approach to supporting their church planting efforts in remote, rural Alaska. Double U sells handcrafted leather goods, ranging from wallets to custom Bible covers. Double U also sells premium photography prints direct to your door.

Where did the Double U get its name?

It all began with Pat and Callie’s love of Westerns (books and movies), and their time spent pastoring in the cowboy and ranching states of the American West. Quite simply, if Pat and Callie ever had a ranch this would have been the name and brand, however, God led them to Alaska, where operating a ranch would not be a reality. Thus, a name was born, the “W” in the Westdorp family name, dropped into a cattle brand by way of two side by side U’s, each “U” representing one half of the whole “W”. This idea birthed from the reality that this business is realized only through the combined efforts of Pat (one “U”) and Callie (the other “U”).
